Chocolate Almond Protein Waffles

Protein in the morning, protein in the afternoon, protein in the evening. It is crucial for a healthy and well balanced diet and especially for building muscle, to get healthy, low calorie forms of protein at every meal. This can not only be challenging to achieve, but can get boring if your assortment of foods and recipes that meet these requirements are limited. This is especially true if you are trying to follow a vegetarian, Omni or other diet that limits your variety of appropriate foods. Try this recipe for chocolate protein powder waffles to work in a healthy breakfast (or even for dinner!).

Ingredients
1 Heaping Scoop Chocolate OMNI Protein Powder
1 Large Egg
1 Large Egg White
1 tsp Baking Powder
1 Packet Stevia
2 tbsp Water
1/8 cup Unsweetened Almond Milk

Toppings
Almond Butter
Sliced Banana
Large Egg White

Instructions
Mix all ingredients. Pre-heat waffle iron and coat with non-stick spray. Add batter and lower lid. Cook 2-3 minutes or until golden, remove. Top with almond butter, sliced almonds, and banana slices.
